This individual self-reflection exercise will provide each student an opportunity to reflect on their own values, the values of others and how this may impact the therapeutic nurse-client relationship, the care of clients, and the health outcomes of clients.
This self-reflection exercise will involve critically examining an Indigenous client’s experience within a healthcare environment and challenges students to begin to consider possible ways that poor health outcomes can be avoided in future practice by reflecting on ways they wish to practice in future.
