The Individual Analytics Project is a hands-on, applied exercise that will allow you to practice and apply the concepts learned in class including, but not limited to: formulating data-driven human capital questions, obtaining the data needed to investigate the question(s), performing appropriate statistical analyses, interpreting the findings, and preparing a summary of your data-driven process and findings.

The Individual Analytics Project will be worth a total of 20% of your overall grade.

2. Take a few moments to look at the variables in the file and formulate a specific, overarching organizational HR-related issue this data might be able to answer or provide guidance for. As an example, a company might want to investigate the factors contributing to job satisfaction. Explicitly state your overarching question.

3. Develop a business case as to why the issue/question you selected is important to organizations. Be sure to support your ideas with relevant references/resources. This should be about 1/2 page and no more than 1 page.

4. Conduct a mini-literature review to determine what relationships you might expect to find regarding at least two set of variables in the data set. Explain. This should be 2-3 pages.

5. Perform four (4) separate (not necessarily different) statistical tests, at least one of which must be a regression, and use appropriate descriptive analytics to investigate your chosen issue/question. State the questions you are trying to answer and show your results.

6. Interpret the results. Describe your observations and explain what your findings show about the various employees and variables you investigated. What implications might your findings have for the organization and why? This should be about 1-2 pages.
